EXPERIENCE
Ms. Barton joined Thermal Remediation Services, Inc. (TRS) as Marketing Director in September 2007. She is responsible for leading the TRS marketing department and supporting the sales organization. Prior to this position, Ms. Barton assisted TRS with marketing consulting including writing technical articles and having them published in technical journals as a subcontractor for three years. Her background as both an environmental and marketing professional integrates technical, marketing and business development skills with extensive experience in market development for startup and emerging companies.
While Owner of Combined Resource Solutions Ms. Barton performed marketing and business development services for a variety of environmental companies. These activities included: developing marketing plans, company collateral, advertising schedules and content; performing editorial placement, market research, product introduction, distribution network identification and training; and strategic partnership alliances.
Ms. Barton’s experience with a start-up air pollution control technology development company moved the company from start-up to securing outside funding and product launch of an innovative biofiltration technology. She was responsible for all early/initial marketing activities, developing product and company branding, creating marketing plans for key markets and various lead generation activities. Prior to funding, Ms. Barton also was responsible for all initial product sales, then created a sales organization development plan including implementation of CRM software and development and management of a nationwide network of independent sales representatives. She also assisted with identifying, securing and managing strategic partners for key markets.
