TRS staff has performed over 75% of the ERH remediation projects in the world. The ERH technology has been successfully and cost effectively implemented on both small and large sites, varying site lithologies (including bedrock applications), and deepest applications.

TRS has unmatched experience using ERH for the remediation of soil and groundwater impacted by chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs) and petroleum hydrocarbons. We have successfully cleaned DNAPL and LNAPL sites and have treated compounds in the boiling range of methylene chloride to solid grease. The more sites you clean, the more contaminant types and remediation challenges you experience.

No company has heated under more occupied or vacant buildings than TRS. We have performed ERH cleanups that required heating beneath, or immediately adjacent to, a building or an area open to direct public access. We have cleaned under commercial properties, retail shopping centers, industrial manufacturing facilities, empty warehouses, active fire lanes, railway maintenance yards, and adjacent to residential properties across the country. On most of these projects we installed our ERH systems below grade to allow workers, pedestrians and vehicles safe and unimpeded access over the electrode fields.

TRS has performed ERH projects under the supervision of some of the environmental remediation industry's most demanding clients, including the DOD, DOE, USACE, and EPA. We have created and implemented programs for source area delineation, sample collection and analyses, air monitoring, health & safety, and QA/QC that meet the standards of each of these groups.
