TRS Group cordially invites you to a technical workshop and site tour, showcasing an operating in situ thermal remediation (ISTR) system at a USEPA Superfund site impacted by chlorinated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) dissolved in light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) petroleum hydrocarbons. The program will provide insights on evaluating the suitability of electrical resistance and thermal conduction heating at sites impacted by VOCs, semi-VOCs, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Elevated temperatures increase biotic and abiotic reaction rates, mass transfer rates and matrix release of short chain volatile fatty acids.
