Science, Behavior Based Safety and Employee Owners

TRS Group (TRS) applies a behavior-based safety (BBS) approach to all our projects. BBS is the the application of the science of behavior change to real world safety problems. A BBS system creates a safety partnership between management and employees that focuses people’s attentions and actions on theirs, and others, daily safety behavior.
Our employee-owners are actively engaged with eliminating unsafe behaviors through proper planning, re-evaluation and correction of changed conditions, and helping each other identify unsafe actions. TRS employee-owners are authorized to and will stop the work of fellow employees or subcontractors. Team members discuss near misses and bring suggestions from lessons learned to the next morning’s meeting, which are then distributed company-wide.
TRS’s strong safety rating (0.73 EMR) and accolades received from our clients attest to a successful BBS program.
