Casey Thomas talks about what it’s like to work in the TRS warehouse in Indianapolis, where company equipment is maintained and housed, and where there is a strong work family atmosphere.

TRS Group: As one of the only employees at TRS that works in an office and not remotely, what is your work environment like?
Casey Thomas: The warehouse is a different adventure every single day. There are days when it’s the normal crew of Tony, Mike, Ted and myself, and other days when we have staff visiting from all over the place. It allows me the opportunity to create relationships with coworkers that I might not normally get to see day-to-day.
TRS Group: What do you like about working at the TRS warehouse?
Casey: I get to be involved in almost all aspects of TRS, from working with the QSAT (Quality, Safety, Assets, and Training) team, lots of folks from operations, all the way to accounting and HR.
TRS Group: What single thing have you been most proud of during your time at TRS?
Casey: Being a strong pillar of support for Tony (Strati, Warehouse & Equipment Manager) and settling into this new role at TRS. There was a pretty big learning curve considering I knew nothing about the environmental field prior to coming on board, and this was a new support position within the company. We’ve figured things out and are now settled into a really good groove.
TRS Group: What is the most satisfying aspect of your job?
Casey: Knowing that I am here as a resource for not only the warehouse staff, but the entire staff. If I am able to support folks to help them be successful, then we are all successful.
TRS Group: What attracted you to the environmental remediation field?
Casey: Honestly, I didn’t know anything about this field prior to starting with TRS. I learn something new every day and I’m excited to come to work. There’s a lot of knowledge and experience among the warehouse staff, and they are always eager to teach me things, even if I don’t want to know!
