Power and Energy Density – Key In Situ Thermal Remediation Parameters

While in situ thermal remediation is highly effective, time and energy usage estimates are essential when modeling remediation efficiency and cost. This webinar will introduce two key parameters used to predict thermal performance:

– Power density: the parameter that governs the heat-up rate, expressed as the ratio of power applied to the treatment volume (kilowatts per cubic yard)

– Energy density: the parameter that predicts contaminant concentration reductions, expressed as the ratio of total energy applied to the treatment volume (kilowatt-hours per cubic yard) .
